Citizens' budget 2020 enters the home straight
Five proposals are close together at the top. The first two proposals have a comfortable lead, but the third to fifth places will be exciting.
In total, over 800 people have already taken part in the vote online or via ballot papers.
We are delighted that so many residents are taking part in this first-time vote. With over 150 people taking part via ballot paper, we can also see how important it was to create this additional opportunity.
says Christian Gerlitz, Mayor and Head of Department for Urban Development and the Environment.
The introduction of ballot papers had become necessary after the planned voting week and the final event had to be canceled due to the coronavirus restrictions, meaning that people would only have been able to vote digitally.
While the ballot papers can still be handed in until the deadline either in the deadline mailbox of the city of Jena (Am Anger 15), at the district mayors of your district or at the district offices in Neulobeda and Winzerla, there is a small restriction for online voting. Interested parties can only register there until 09.12.2020, as the verification of the registration data requires additional time. Those who are already registered can also vote online until 10.12.2020.
The final result of the vote will then be announced on the following Monday, December 14, 2020 at 4 pm. The time in between is necessary to collect and evaluate the ballots from the districts.
