The result of the 2020 vote

Six projects can be implemented over the next two years.

The residents of Jena have voted. A total of 5,175 votes have been cast for the 21 proposals since the launch two monthsago . Everyone had five votes, so there were 1,035 participants. Based on the distribution of votes, a total of six projects can now be implemented over the next two years. These are the following measures:

This year's citizens' budget had a total amount of €25,000 and could be used for measures of up to €5,000. There were a total of 43 proposals from the city community, of which 21 were put to the vote after being reviewed by the city administration and discussed by the Citizen Participation Advisory Board.

All residents of the city of Jena who are at least 16 years old were able to vote. It was possible to register to vote online or take part using a self-printed ballot paper. A total of 1,244 people used this option.

Of these, 547 ( 53%) voted online and 488 ( 47%) voted by ballot paper.

The youngest participant was born at the end of November 2004, the oldest in July 1930.
